Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Country Club Food and Beverage of the Pinehurst Country Club in a supervisory capacity, such as the Restaurant, Bar, Banquets and other areas and events.


Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required and a minimum of 2 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Display friendliness and helpfulness at all times, to Members, Guests, Visitors, Business Partners and fellow Employee Partners.
  • Adhere to all Property and Department policies and procedures. 
  • Observe all safety and security procedures. Use equipment and material properly. Report potentially unsafe conditions.
  • This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
  • Reviews the BEO’s for the day and checks in with the Food and Beverage Manager for assignments/additional information. Also reviews upcoming BEO’s to determine re-sets.
  • Ensures that current BEO’s for that day and following day are posted on staff bulletin board.
  • Assigns opening and closing side work. 
  • Walks through banquet area, bathrooms, restaurant and bar to check for cleanliness, light bulbs that need changing, maintenance issues and for any items needed for service prior to member or staff arrival. 
  • Checks kitchen board to see food items, counts and takes notes of any special daily menu items.
  • Ensures that food and beverage supplies are properly requisitioned.
  • Checks IG stations to make sure they are in working order, on proper revenue center and prices are programmed for that’s day’s dining activities. 
  • Obtains daily features from the chef.
  • Prepares and conducts lineups.
  • Checks staff knowledge and appearance.
  • Walks through dining area prior to line up and check tables for proper set up and levelness and that the seating matches the floor plan.
  • Is responsible for setting the ambience of the area with lighting and music.
  • Assists with seating members and guests.
  • Checks on satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
  • Is responsible for communicating with the chef during dining as to counts and timing of service.
  • Monitors the consistent use of standards of operations.
  • Assists with the following: Communicates pertinent payroll information to the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Ensures areas are cleaned and properly reset for the next dining activity.
  • Assist other outlets throughout the PCC.
  • Reports any staffing or Member issues/accidents or complaints immediately to club management.
  • Calls Security at the conclusion of the day’s activities to inform them they can lock the complex.
  • In this position you will be expected to be available to work in various locations of Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels. In addition, you will be expected to work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed.
  • Assist with ordering and inventorying of liquor, beer and wine.
  • Assigning of Employee Partners to work areas and scheduling.
  • Creating featured beverages.
  • Setting up buffets and banquet rooms for events as needed.
  • Conducting training classes. 
  • Accurately complete daily required paperwork: deposits, requisitions, gratuity sheets and timesheets.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Have ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
